Coaching for Leadership Teams, Departments and Teams in Organisations
Turning Groups Into Teams
Team coaching works towards developing well-functioning and effective teams. Enhancing healthy team dynamics and promoting teamwork cultivates communication and collaboration; builds trust; creates a team vision to move forward; and improves overall morale, motivation and productivity. As a trained Organisation, Relationship & Systems Coach (ORSC©) and an Inpowered® Team Coach (Inpowered Coaching Institute®), I support teams through the lens of coaching, team facilitation, or team training in the following areas:
Improving healthy high performance as a team:
Developing interpersonal awareness
Adapting to change within the team
Working through team challenges
Defining a common mission, vision and strategy
Clarifying roles and responsibilities
Strengthening resilience and building trust within the team
Optimising emotional wellbeing and health as a team
Working with a successful team that is seeking it’s next level of growth
A deep dive into a specific team development area (i.e, psychological safety; taking responsibility as a team member; listening and responding; handling difficult conversations; unpacking strengths, values and personality styles; collaborating successfully; leadership development).
Managing team conflict and strengthening team relationships (see also Relationship & Conflict Resolution Coaching)
I help teams navigate disagreements, foster open communication, and build stronger relationships. Through proven strategies and personalised guidance, workplace tension can be transformed into opportunities for growth and collaboration.
Whether the team is navigating significant changes or striving for a more harmonious work environment, coaching equips teams with the tools to resolve conflicts effectively and maintain focus on shared goals. The coaching process works towards unlocking the team’s potential by building trust, enhancing relationships, and creating a culture of understanding, success and psychological safety.
The Team Coaching Process
Working Together to Develop an Approach Designed to Your Specific Needs
Step One: Initial Consultation and Proposal
We will meet together so I can gain a thorough and comprehensive understanding of the situation and needs of the team. Following this initial meeting, I will provide you with a recommended proposal of approach, designed to your specific situation.
Step Two: Preparation and Planning
Once the proposal is agreed on, I then prepare and design the program or workshop that addresses the identified needs of the team. This may include gathering more information through individual interviews.
Step Three: Delivering Team Coaching
The length and timing of the team coaching engagement depends on the needs of the team as identified in the initial consultation and proposal. Delivery of a workshop or program can be face to face, virtually or a mixture of both. Engagements could be a full day, a half day or several shorter blocks of time over an extended period.
